The Inter-American Academy of Human Rights is a Legal Research Institute of the Autonomous University of Coahuila specialized in research, study, teaching, training and dissemination of human rights.

The IDH Academy offers two master's degrees and six specialties; namely: the Master's Degree in Human Rights with an International and Comparative Perspective, the Master's Degree in Advanced Human Rights Studies, the Specialty in Right to Information, Supervision and Fight against Corruption, the Specialty in Gender and Human Rights, the Specialty in Human Rights Politicians with International and Comparative Perspective, the Specialty in Rights of Migrants and Refugees, the Specialty in Rights of Human Rights Defenders and Journalists, and the Specialty in Rights and Guarantees of Victims of Disappearance. How can I get a scholarship to study a postgraduate course at the Inter-American Academy of Human Rights?

During the admission process to each of the postgraduate programs offered by the Inter-American Academy of Human Rights, a procedure is contemplated to apply for a scholarship, either full-time academic or tuition. This procedure implies, in addition to the correct delivery of all the requested documents, an interview and evaluation by the Academic Research Council of the IDH Academy.

Can I study a postgraduate degree at the Inter-American Academy of Human Rights remotely?

Currently, the postgraduate programs offered by the IDH Academy are offered in a hybrid way, that is, through different educational digital platforms. This situation will continue until conditions allow daily postgraduate activities to be carried out in person at the facilities of the IDH Academy in Arteaga, Coahuila de Zaragoza, Mexico. 

When will the next edition of the Inter-American Debate Competition on Human Rights take place?

Due to the health contingency that we are going through, the activities of the Inter-American Debate Competition on Human Rights are suspended indefinitely until we have, again, favorable conditions to be able to carry it out in Saltillo, Coahuila de Zaragoza, Mexico. This decision was made with the safety of each and every participant in mind.

The Doctorate in Human Rights with an International and Comparative Perspective of the Inter-American Academy of Human Rights, aims to train people with a high level of academic and competitive quality; It is aimed at developing research capacities that propose, under an international and comparative perspective, comprehensive solutions to national, regional and international problems for the advancement and pertinent knowledge of human rights issues, which allow the harmonious development of the rights of all. sectors of our society. The doctorate lasts three years (six semesters) and its first generation will start in January 2022
